The idea of the colunching is a new fashion growing up everywhere in the United States and in Europe. The idea is spreading slowly with great success
Eating a sandwich, salad or cake alone is not exciting. Some people , rather than sit alone at a table, even prefer not to eat at all, in order not to have supporting the eyes of others. Fortunately, this time is over. A bright idea came to germinate in Zannad Sonia’s brain, a young French girl: it is called « the colunching » .
Habits of the average French
Being alone in the office, a salad bar, on a chair in front of its computer, at home or at the restaurant at lunch time , is not in itself the best in terms of relaxation and well-being . Some human beings are so made that eating unaccompanied , give them a sense of discomfort especially if they believe they are observed.
Therefore, they eat, as quickly as their jaws permit, the contents of their plate and return to their occupations. In other words, what should be a moment of relaxation is totally hidden in a poor experienced loneliness.
The colunching … yes, but what is it ?
After carpooling or co-location , why not indulge in » comiammiam » or colunching ? The concept is simple , but like any simple idea, nobody thought of it before . Sit around the dinner table with some people of the neighborhood , near the office or just in a new district to discover and enjoy the conviviality and spend a pleasant hour or two to chat about everything and nothing, go to meet others and easily fill your address book !.
In early 2011, only one site had a monopoly on this new idea.
Frederic Bourget , the « head boss » , who has to his credit the co-location , the speedating and other events with Sonia Zannad and whose company is interested in everything related to tech, have teamed up to offer this new way of the lunch break.
How to register ?

Users, after registering on the site colunching via Facebook , find suggestions for meetings between strangers who share the same interests whatsoever. Cooking, music, travel, work , theater , opera … In short, all the choices, from classic to eccentric, can be proposed. Each one suggests an idea and builds his appointment, in his own way , by going to: COlunching and giving all the necessary information : choice of subject, date, time, location, number of people maximum price of the meal , etc …
For those who are less inventive , every day, Internet users offer their idea of lunch and are just waiting to welcome (up to availability) other people. Usually between 4 and 8 people gather around a table to keep some privacy what is a way to know each other better. Prices range between 25 and 30 euros for a meal. (Less or more depending on the hotel ).
A list of restaurants is available in the main cities if participants lack ideas .
The concept is growing and those who know love this new way to meet people while sharing the delights of a selected menu in a selected place.
We note that currently, women are more likely to make this choice than their male companions.
